HarborChase Senior Living would like to highlight an LPN Charge Nurse/Care Partner at HarborChase of Tallahassee, Angela Fagg!

HarborChase of Tallahassee‘s Director of Resident Care, Latina Hall, states, “I have known Angela for almost eight years, and her attitude to her profession has not changed at all. Even though I met her in a different setting, it still was resident-centered. Angela paid close attention to the care, supervised the direct care staff, and made sure her documentation was completed. She was a true role model for me. All of those things were done with a smile, and if she had to discipline someone, it was also a teaching moment.”

Angela has been a nurse for 30 years and joined the HRA family in 2005. She has worked in many different roles within the company, but they all were centered on caring for the residents. Often, when a person spends a long period of time as a caregiver, especially in one place, they experience what is called caregiver burnout. Not Angela! After all these years, she honestly cares for each and every resident and staff member, and she does not miss a beat when doing it.

Angela continues to encourage employees to pay close attention to the new team members, telling them to give their all no matter the task or circumstances. She has a unique way of making sure associates are doing the right thing, and the job is getting completed.

Over the years, Angela has developed special bonds with many physicians, which empowers her to take care of the needs of the residents. She has also developed relationships with the residents, as well as their families. Now that we have suspended visitation with families, the bonds Angela has built are very valuable to our community. Numerous times, just a simple conversation with Angela has put a family member at ease. Angela gives families peace of mind by just knowing that she is here with their loved ones while they cannot be.

Angela’s favorite things about working at HarborChase (aside from the residents and care) is:

“Having a second family. You love them all, even though at times you have to have tough conversations with them or have to show them the way, and they may get mad at you, but at the end of the day, we are family.”

Angela is dependable and committed to HarborChase by upholding the company’s core values and goes above and beyond to make sure the needs of the residents are met with compassion and understanding. Knowing her God-given talent is being a nurse and blessing our community with that talent, makes Angela a HarborChase of Tallahassee hero.

Thank you, Angela, for you and your continued commitment to upholding the core values of the company. We love and appreciate you and look forward to many years to come!
